Equipment use

Usage

The client may not remove the equipment from the studio premises; or modify or alter or tamper with the equipment in any way; nor use the equipment in a manner not recommended by the manufacturer, without the written consent of Lindsay Wakelin Photography.

Breakages, losses & damages

The client hiring the studio is responsible for all breakages, losses or damages caused to the studio or equipment by him/her, or any other person, during the use of the studio.

All equipment and services are supplied by Lindsay Wakelin Photography entirely at the risk of the client. Lindsay Wakelin Photography shall not be liable for any loss or damage to materials or props or equipment, including consequential loss and loss of profit however caused, arising out of the use or the inability to use the equipment supplied or agreed to be supplied.

No alterations, decorations or additions to the studio are permitted without the written consent of Lindsay Wakelin Photography.

The client shall pay any costs incurred by Lindsay Wakelin Photography arising out of any breach of these conditions.

The client must notify Lindsay Wakelin Photography at the time of supply if the condition of the equipment is not acceptable.

Lindsay Wakelin Photography shall not be liable to the client for any loss, damage, expense, or for any consequential loss (including loss of profit) whatsoever or howsoever arising out of or in connection with any of the following: any damage to or loss of property by the Client or the Clients servants or agents or any third party; any breakdown, stoppage or failure of the facilities and equipment provided in the studio or any other equipment supplied to the client by Lindsay Wakelin Photography.

Payment & identification

Deposits & full payment

Full payment to Lindsay Wakelin Photography must be made at time of booking, failure to pay within 24hrs of making the booking will lead to the booking being cancelled.

Proof of identification

Before or on the day of your booking bring with you your passport or drivers licence (the new style licence with a picture of your face) a copy will be taken for ID purposes. Please note that you will not be able to rent the studio if you forget to bring your ID. The ID taken will only be used for the purpose of confirming identity, your details will not be shared with any other third parties.

Timings

Minimum hire term

The studio can be hired for a minimum of 2hrs, if you wish to book the studio for a whole day or several days then a 10% discount on the hire charge will be applied. Payments need to be paid at time of booking, the booking is not confirmed until payment is made, this means that the studio can be used or hired by another person.

Arrival & overruns

The booking is strictly limited to the times you have booked. If you wish to pay to extend your time in the studio once you arrive you can do so as long as the studio is not already booked.

Cancellations

If you cancel 24hrs in advance then you can rebook your session for free, but the rescheduled date & time depends on when the studio is free and at my discretion. Any cancellations made on the day of the booking will not be refunded and is the responsibilty of the person hiring the studio.

Restrictions

The building is shared by several businesses so for reasons of health and safety and neighbourly consideration I ask anyone hiring the studio to keep photography to inside the studio. No naked lights, flames or smoking are allowed at the studio. No animals other than dogs are allowed. No glitter or oil is allowed on the backdrops or furniture. Any mess made during the time of hire must be cleared up and the studio left as you found it clean and tidy. Sub-letting the room or using the room for any illegal activity is also prohibited.

Colchester Photo Studio shall not be liable for any loss due to failure of supply of electricity ,leakage of water. fire, Government restrictions or any other circumstances beyond its reasonable control, which may lead cause the premises to be temporarily closed or the hiring to be interrupted or cancelled.

Code of conduct

Minors & models

The client must ensure that all persons under the age of 18 have parents’ or guardian’s permission to be at the studio, for the purposes of the photography or filming, during the period of studio hire. All minors must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Termination

Lindsay Wakelin Photography may terminate any hire contract if the client shall be in breach of any of the Terms and Conditions.
