What happens if I have to cancel my booking?

If you let me know 24hrs in advance then you can rebook your session for free, but the rescheduled date & time depends on when the studio is free.

How can I pay for studio hire?

I will send you an invoice via email which will have the amount due and my bank details. You can pay via Bank Transfer or Paypal or you can make an appointment to call in and pay via card or cash.

Can I bring a dog?

Yes, dogs are welcome all I ask is that you leave the studio clean and tidy as you found it.

I am not sure how to use the lights, can you help me set them up?

Yes I will be more than happy to go through lighting set ups for your shoot, just book an hours tuition before the time of your shoot when you book. The extra tuition fee is £50.

Can I use other spaces in the building like the landing or stairs?

The building is shared by several businesses so for reasons of health and safety and neighbourly consideration I ask everyone hiring the studio to keep photography to inside the studio.

Will your trigger fit my camera?

As long as you have a DSLR camera (disable your flash if you have one on your camera) the trigger will fit.

What if I arrive late?

The booking is strictly limited to the times you have booked. If you wish to pay to extend your time in the studio once you arrive you can do so as long as the studio is not already booked.

Can I move things around and use your props?

You are welcome to move anything and use anything at the studio (except for the paper rolls there is an extra charge to use coloured paper background rolls). I ask that you leave the studio as you have found it ready for the next person to use please remove any rubbish, wash up cups, sweep any mess up etc.

Can I book an hour’s hire?

The minimum hire is 2hrs.

Is there a toilet?

Yes there is a unisex toilet downstairs.

Is there parking?

Yes you can park off road by the building in any of the spaces 1-11, if there are no spaces you can park in the road by Colne Valley Vets just opposite.

Are you near a train station?

Yes Colchester Hythe station is just round the corner from the building, a five minute walk away.

Are you near anywhere I can get a coffee?

Yes there is a kitchen downstairs with a kettle, tea and coffee. There is also a large Tesco store round the corner which has a Costa in the store. There are also other small shops and a Subway nearby.

Is the studio heated?

Yes
